Sandra is a Texas transplant. Originally a native Chicagoan, she now lives in the desert sun land of El Paso, Texas. Sandra is an educator, trained storyteller, and writer. Most of the stories she tells are original stories that were inspired by her grandmothers’ entertaining tales from their childhoods in Mexico. She performs different versions of La llorona, El cucuy, y Las manos peludas that most Mexicans grew up hearing. She has performed at fall festivals and Family Reading Nights at schools, and events such as El Día del Niño and Día de los Muertos. Sandra is able to perform in Spanish or English and can adapt her performances to the occasion.
