Before his recent retirement, Warren Holleman served as Professor of Behavioral Science at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Warren is a two-time Houston Moth story slam champion, and his stories have been featured at the Texas Storytelling Festival, the National Storytelling Summit, the Moth Mainstage, and the Moth Radio Hour. Warren enjoys telling personal stories as well as family and historical stories based on his rural roots in North Carolina and Texas. In addition to telling stories, Warren gives lectures and workshops on storytelling, work-life balance, stress management, job burnout, and spiritual dimensions of work and life, and he uses his stories to animate these presentations. Warren is co-editor of the e-magazine “Pulse-voices from the heart of medicine,” which publishes stories about illness, health, and health care. Warren is a frequent contributor to Physician Family Magazine, Pulse, and KevinMD.
