My name is Bobbee Pennington and play banjo and guitar and I compose and sing musical adaptations of folk and fairy tales. I think it is important to include a lot of audience participation through movement and song. I studied storytelling under Dr. Elizabeth Figa at the University of North Texas.

I have done storytelling for children’s museums, and presidential libraries and of course the Mounce Library’s weekly story time program for 15 years.

I have been a children’s librarian at the Mounce Public Library in Bryan, Texas and will retire in August. For a sample of some of my stories, please visit my website.
