Storytime for Storyteller: A Demonstration
May 21, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Are toddlers your most-feared audience? Have you ever arrived for a program and discovered the audience contains a bunch of preschoolers? Need stories for children of different ages? If you can answer yes, then, this program is for you.
Valerie Kimble, storyteller and retired children’s librarian, will use stories, puppets, magnetic boards, picture books, rhymes and songs, games, and props of all kinds so participants can see the potential for expanding their own skills to successfully engage children from babies to age four.
Children’s librarians, day care providers, parents and grandparents can pick up tips for entertaining and preparing their little ones for school readiness. Come prepared to listen, learn, and sing along.
