Volunteering

We need your help as a volunteer at the association all year, the Texas Storytelling Festival in March every year, or the Texas Storytelling Conference in the summer every other year. There is no qualifying pre-requisite for helping out. If you have the time, whether two hours or twenty hours a week or a month or a year, there is a role for you. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so we also can help you to fill your service hours for your group, organization, or school.

Volunteers are needed to help in the following activities:

  • Association administrative work
  • Association financial work
  • Event marketing and public relations
  • Social Media
  • Database, computer, and software programs work
  • Board member: fundraising, volunteerism, grants, projects, programs, leadership positions, financial, and more.
  • Festival and event planning
  • Festival and Conference: pre-registration, registration, concessions, silent auction, Story Store, youth day, green room, set-up and breakdown, drivers, and Teller ambassadors
